Geological engineering
Steven completed a Geological Engineering degree at the University of Manitoba in 1995. Early professional work in northern Manitoba connected technical training with the practical realities of remote communities, infrastructure and natural-resource development.
Business, governance and leadership
Graduate business studies and leadership experience strengthened his preparation for organisational governance, public policy and elected office. Those skills became part of a career that moved from engineering and student representation into federal and Manitoba public service.
